SERIOUS CASES.
Per Press Association FEILDING, Sept. 21. At the Court yesterday before Mr. A. D. Thomson, S.M., Jessie Cox pleaded guilty to using an instrument for an improper purpose, and was remanded to the Wanganni Supreme Court for sentence. Thomas Powell and Edward Lewer pleaded not guilty to supplying the instrument, and were committed for trial.
A SETTLER FINED.
STRATFORD, Sept. 24
At the Magistrate's Court this morning/ a settler named C. Dale was fined £5 and costs on a charge of feeding pigs on unboiled offal. Tho prosecution was instituted by the Stock Department.
