Price* for hide* ruled at about late rates, heavy cows' in good condition being particularly eagerly sought for, and -were inclined to show a slight adranee. Ox sold at about last month'! rates for heavies and mediums, while lights were inclined to ease a little. Skins were slightly better, wad showed an adTance of about 5 per cent. Tallow and sundries sold at about late rates. The range of prices was: — Prime wethers 17s to 20s> lighter 14s to 16s tid, ewes 16s to 17s M, merino wethers 13s lid to 17s, hoggets 9s to 12s. There were 210 head of fat cattle offered, mostly of good and prime quality sorts. Steers made £6 5s to £12 15s, heifers £4 12s «d to £9 10s, cows £4 5s to £8 7» 6d. The prices were equal to 20s 6d to 22s 6d far primo 18s 6d to 20s for medium, and 16s 6d to 18s far cow and iaferior beef per 1001 b. A mixed yarding of veal calves sold at 4s 6d to 555, and four large suckers to £4. Yearlings made 33s to 355, fifteen and eighteen months £2 2s to £2 15s, two-year steers £3 12s to £3 15s, two-year heifers £3 to £3 18s, ftwo aad a-hslf year steers £4 ss, three, year heifers £4 ss, three and four year steers £5 15s to £5 174, and dry cows 20s to £3 17« 6d. Dairy c\>ws sold well, prices ranging from £3 10s to £8 15s. There was a medium entry of pigs of all classes, and there was good demand, especially for weoners and stores. Choppers told up to £5 14s, the top price being obtained for a very large Tainworth. Heavy baoonen made 54s to 645, lighter 46s to 53s— equal to 4%d per 1b; large porkers 4Oa to 445, lighter ' 34s 6d to 30s— equal to 5%d to 5%d per 1b; large stores 34s to 375, smaller. 28s to 335, weaners 12s 6d 21s.
