NEWTON KING'S EEPORT. At the Haymarket on Saturday ihere was a very large attendance of buyers, the attraction being the unreserved Bale of horses on account of Mr. A. N. Mills. Light draughts made £22 to £25 10s, unbroken three and four-year-olds £9 to £fft 6s, five-year-old -ware by Berlin ! Abba £21, stylish gig horses £91 to £22, hacks and others £tf ssto fit 15s. The pedigree Clydesdales were passed , in. On account of other -vendors, Backs £5 10s to £0 6s, harness horse £18 10s. There was a large entry of pigs, small weanero making 7s 6d to 10s, good do. 10s 6d to 14a, email stores 18s to 26s fld, calf 19s, dog 18b. At Toko on Monday yearling Aoifert made 36s 6d, yearling tteers £2 6s M, 2V4-y«*r do. £3 7s, store coils £2 6s 6d to £2 6s, flpringiOf Bfcifer* £4 9s to £5 J7« 6d, springing cows £8 12s 64 to £6 12s 6d, tall «1 118. On Wednesday at Corbett Road I held a clearing sale of Mr. Charles Clarktfs surplus stock of Jerseys. The weAther was very wet and touA in the morning, but in spite of this there was • large and representative attendance of buyers, good prices being realised right through tha sale. The cold, rough weather did not tend to improve the appearance of the cattle, which were not looking at their best, and but for this higher pries*, might reasonably have been expected.
