Both walls are bearing up splendidly against the attack of the, waves. Sand is banking up solidly on the outer sides of the wafis, but none appears t<> be drifting into the harbour. The Patea Harbour is a Aorougbly creditable specimen of ita class, and granted steamers of suitable build and power, it will doubtless be found to provide ample facilities for tho discharge of local trade.
