Messrs. Webster Bros., report: — Mart.— We had a fair entry of poultry on Saturday last, th^ demand (st present unsatisfied) being mostly for cockerels. Prices realised were: Cockerels, good.' 2s to 2s 6d ; roosters, Is 7d to 2s 2d; hens, 2s 6d to 3«, old Is 114; millets, .good 2s 64 Jo 26 lid, poor Is 114 to 2s 4d ; ducks, 3s 8d to 3s. Fruit trees were in demand. Fruit. — During the *eek we have had heavier consignments, of apples chiefly. Notwithstanding this, the market t* till firm for choice desserts. We quote: Prime Nelson Stunners. 10s 9d to 11s, seconds 8s to 9s, red deserts 10s to lls, seconds'!* 8d to- 9s 64; Island oranges (short .Wlvpply), 13s to 15s. S.M. oranges 6s toss r 6d; lemoiw) 9s 6d to 10s 6d, half-cases 4s 9d to ss; bananas, green Ss 64 to' 9s 6d. ripe and turning 1)4 to 2d lb: mandarins, 8s to 9d. Brocoli ss, local 3s 64 ; pumpkins, 2s 64 sack. Omata.— At our yards, Omata. on Friday last we had a big entry of all classes of stock. Springing cows and heifers were in demand and sold well. Weaners 26s 6d to 34s 64, store cows £2 6s 6d to £2 Ids 6d, forward cows £3 12s 6d to £4, 2-year bulls £2 5s to £2 17s 64, springing cows £4 10s to £5 2s 6d. springing heifers £3 16s to £5 "15s, 2-year empty heifers £2 13s.
