HELLERS MAHATMA COMPANY.

A distinctly good evening s entertainment was provided bj the Hellers Mahatuia Company in the Theatre Rojal last evening, before a fair attendance. Tho programme was a well\aned one, and quickly earned the appieciation of the audience. The first "turn " consisted of a number ot very clever conjuring tricks by Mr. G. W. heller. Some ol his "tricks" were, indeed, ot a very high order of merit. Later in the evening tho same performer appeared in an excellent representation of tho baffling cabinet trick. Mr. Heller was well tied to a chair by two members of the. audience and then placed in the cabinet, which also contained a couple ot tambourines and some handbells. These bells were, rung immediately after the pet former was placed in the cabinet, yet when tho screen was pulled aside he was still bound to the chair. After a minute's further withdrawal from the sight ot the audience Mr. Heller walked out of tho cabinet, free, only to return and to bo found immediately aftetwards tied as before. He also perpertormed the coat trick in a similar!) tinishcd nuinner. Another mystitung "tuih" was that of Madam*. Maude Heller, a "medium"" ot considerable ability, whose exhibition of psychometry astounded the audience. In herl wonderful "*eance" she replied to a number ot questions only known to members ot the audience. As a "relief" to theso excursions into spiritland some illustrated songs were rendcied in good st,\lc b.\ Mr. Alex. Black, aiid a number ot excellent biograph films were shown. This evening an entire change of progiamme will be submitted. The show cciuuiih provides excellent valuo for the spectator's nionev . Special concessions will be made to ladies this evening.
