HOCKEY.
CARRINGTON ROAD CLUB
The annual meeting of the Carring-! ton Road Club was held at Mc«is M'Ewen Bros.' rooms lust evening, ilr Geo. Hudson being in the chair. The report and balance sheet (showing a substantial balance in baud) were lead and adopted. Tho follow ing officers- were elected for the ensuing year: — Captain, Mr A. Marett; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. W. M'Ewen; auditor, Mr. H. W. Saxton ; delegate to Taranaki Hockey Association, Mr. W. H. Perhani ; general committee, Messrs. B. Bayly, G. Hudson, E. Foot, W. Taylor, A. Msirett and W. M'Ewen; selection committee captain and Messrs. 11. M'Ewen am* W. H. Perhani. Mr. C. Jordan was nominated as referee. The annual subscription was fixed :>1 sa. The club was to open tlie season to day.
