DALGETY AND CO.'S REPORT.
Dalgety and Company, Limited, report naving received the following cable messages from their London house under date of the 17th inst : —
Sheepskins. — Sales closed firm. As compared with the closing rates of last series prices showed advances as follows: — Merino sheepskins |d, crossbred Jd to Id, short woolled and shorn pelts }d. 10,000 bales were offered and practically all sold. Frozen Meat. — There is a limited demand for New Zealand lamb, mutton, and beef. Quotations are as follows : — New Zealand prime ox beef : Fores 3d per lb; hinds, 3fd per lb. New Zealand prime crossbred lamb: Canterbury heavy 4Jd per lb, light s£d, North Island heavy Jtjd, light s|d, New Zealand prime crossbred mutton: Canterbury heavy 3£d, light 3|d, North Island heavy 3*d, light 3*d. Tallow. — On tho average prices for tallow are 3d per cwt. higher, but prices are unchanged for c.i.f. parcels. Rabbit skins. — Market firm. Export present prices to be fully maintained at next sales.
