A BEQUEST GOES BEGGING. CLERGYMEN'S SALARIES. P«r Press Association. DUNEDIN, Oct. 29. The third session of the fourteenth Anglican Synod concluded its business this evening. It was reported that between £3000' and £4000' had yet to be raised before the diocese was entitled to claim the amount left under the will of the late Mi* Harrop wherewith to . build a cathedral. Further discussion took place on clergymen' s stipends. The motion proposed was unanimously agreed to. It was also agreed that the Standing Committee, having power to add to its numbers, should consider the whalo question during tho next twelve, mouths. Members were unanimously of opinion that clergymen were shamefully underpaid.
