MESSRS. MOREY AND SON'S DISPLAY.

Messrs Morey and Son are making a grand display of millinery in their special show rooms in the Coffee Palace buildings, comprising all the latest shapes and styles that will bo in vogue during the coming season. These have all been imported from the best Continental houses and they constitute one of the finest shows of millinery over seen in New Plymouth. There is a large show of beautiful hats, handsomely trimmed with bright flowers and clusters of valuable ostrich plumes such as are worn at Paris. ■ There are upwards of two hundred and forty fashionable blouses on offer, and with the extensive range of variety there should bo no* difficulty in pleasing the most fastidious, for no two blouses are alike. The whole collection comes from a man who is said to be an adept at dainty blouses. Dust coats are in greater variety than over before. The display in this department is stylish to the moment, shown in all shades. There is also a choice collection of dainty veilings, chiffon and lace scarves, bolts, handkerchiefs, etc. Another particularly interesting feature is the magnificent collection of parasols, white, cream, and coloured, plain and embroidered. This section alone is well worthy of inspection. In addition to the above display, this enterprising firm's usual business premises are closely stocked with tho now season's goods. The purchases that have been made are on a much larger scale than heretofore, and it is this that compelled Mr Morey to practical^ transfer the show-room to tho premises on the opposite side of the street, the use of which he has temporarily acquired. At the main entrance there is a fine assortment of blouse cambrics, and on ,a large table in the centre of the «hop, and extending over its whole length, is. a comprehensive display of French muslins, pretty in design and most tastefully and artstically displaced for the benefit of customers. It is questionable whether Morey and Son^s display in this department has ever been so interesting, and, with the removal of the import duty, the price of these ' goods is wonderfully low. Never before* has it been possible to procure a summer frock at so small a cost as this year. There are also beau-tifully-flowered silk and wool delaines in complete dress lengths and of almost all conceivable variety. The counters are stocked with seasonable materials. The show-room is practically devoted exclusively to children's wear, and tho assortment is such as to please every taste and clothe any child from ten weeks to ten years. The hats and bonnets are very choice. The shop is replete wth cambric and muslin insertions in many widths and designs, glQves, laces, insertions, and the hundred and one other lines that make for the m6dernness of a most modern house.
