A large number of sheep were [in indifferent condition, and should have been, classed as forward stores rather thai), as fat. ..The range of prices was : prime wethers Ids io ; 255, 'tighter 14s to 18s, unfinished 10s to 13s, ju;inie ewes 17s to Ids, medium 12s ;to 16sl, aged an<S light ,^s to 11s 6d. -There was an average yarding of fat ialnbs, a fairly, large proportion of which were unfinished. For the best class of f reeeers there was' a good demand, both export buyers and local butchers operating freely. Inferior Sorts were dull of sale. . Tega made 'up to iße, best freezers 13s. 6d to 16e 6d, and light and unfinished sorts 11s to 13a
3Rigs. — There was a lar^e entry : of fat pigs, which, met with a fair jdemand., Choppers made to 4s lOd, heavy, baconers 60s to 68s, and lighter 48g>to 55s (equal to 5d per ll>). Porkers made 38s to 44s for large, and 30s to . 35s for medium (equal to s id per lb). The demand for stores was very poor. ' . r
