TEN MEN SUFFOCATED.
HEROIC RESCUER KILLED.
By Electric Telegraph.— Copyright. (Received April 11, 9 a.m.) LONDON, April 10. An explosion occurred at Norton Hill colliery, in Somerset, last night. The thirty men on night shift were* below, Twenty escaped, but the remaining ten were suffocated, despite repeated, heroic attempts to rescue them. . Many of the rescue workers werei carried out insensible. One was killed while attempting a rescue. v •
