CASH v. CREDIT.
-CTo tne Editor.) , J Sir, — It was with interest I read your: 'jwrticle on cash ,v. credit trading. Before I came to this unbusinesslike town of yours I -paid cash and received cash value, and naturally. I jexpectcd to receive the same treatment here, but very soon found my mistake. While I paid cash and received no discount, I found my neighbour bought on credit at the same price and paid now and then and good discount. Consequently I fell into th» system of trading (fostered by the tradesmen themselves) of paying in the sweet by and by, when I cpmjnand a good; discount. I - might say in the meantime my money (or rightly the tradesmen's moneys "is invested, where it returns good interest. I would like to see a cash sj'stcm started with cash prices to correspond, but I am afraid the bad debt "loading in New' Pljinouth will be a serious obstacle to efforts in that direction.^— l am", etc., \ CASH.
