m \ THE ASSOCIATION GAME. KAPONGA CLUB. On Tuesday night the Kaponga Association Football Club held its annual meeting. The following officers were appointed : — President, Dr. Maclagan (re-elected) ; vice-pfesidents, Messrs Bargeni, Northcott (re-elected), and A. Adlam ; secretary, Mr Oliver ; captain, Mr D. Kelly; vice-captain, Mr T. Preece ; management committee, Messrs A. Melville, E. Foreman, T. Preeco, C. IE. Belts, D. .Kelly, and officers ex officio; ground 1 , committee, f Messrs Preece, Kelly;, and J. Lash ; auditor, Mr Adlam; delegates tq^the Union, Messrs Betts and Oliver. The club intends to again naye\ two teams. The season will be opened, on Thursday week with a game against a team representing either Rowan Road district or Auroa. — Hawera Star.
