m WIRTH'S CIRCUS. Wirth's Circus will appoar in New Plymouth for one night only, to-mor-row, on the ground near the railway station. New features have beon introduced in the. circus, t menagerie, museum, vaudeville Entertainment, and hippodrome, and there is also a large herd of elephants and a 'g/and Oriental parade.' One of the chief star items on the programme is that introduced by Herr Batty. The act consists of six full grown lions performing together with a number of leopards, bears, and a couple of boar hounds, forming a wonderful tableaux and a most exciting rfnd mixed-up finale. It is said to be the greatest of all. the many wonderful wild animal turns supplied by Hagenbeck, who has the largest Zoo in the world. The managers state tKat this turn is absolutely the greatest that Wirth's have ever imI ported.
John Gilbert was fined £1 and costs at Stratford this morning for sellinp: milk not obtained from a registered dairy. For failing to register a dairy from whioh miJk was sold the same defendant was fined £5 and costs. — Press telegram. . -
