INGLEWOOD.
MAGISTRATE'S COURT. (From Our Own Correspondent.) August 12.— 1n the Magistrate's C^urt to-day Mr A. Turnbull, S.M., gave judgment for plaintiff for amount I claimed in. the following undefended cases:— S. Huston v. W. Hawke, £1 16 (costs ss): Same v. B. Orr, 7s 6d (costs 9s) ; G. Gudgeon v. E. W. Armstrong, £1 6s ,<costs ss); .S. Huston v. L. Redmond? £3 7b 6df (costs ss). !" A. Barlow sued W.' McNeil for £28 7s for cattle sold- to defendant. Mr Crombie appeared for plaintiff, and Mr Thomson for defendant. After hearing the evidence of plaintiff and defendant the Magistrate adjourned the case till next Court day to enable both parties to bring further evidence. . P .G. Nops sued R. Johnson for £5, commission on sale«of defendant's livery stable. Mr Crombie was for plaintiff and Mr Thomson for defendant. After hearing the evidence the Magistrate gave judgment- for plaintiff for £2 10s and £2 10s costs. The Moa Road Board prosecuted A. Douch for a breach of the Public Works Act, 1905, in hauling logs not carried on wheels on a public road. Defendant pleaded guilty, and was fined 10s and costs £1 12s. Mr Thomson ,apI peared for the Board and Mr Crombie for defendant.
