A preliminary draft of the German Navy estimates for 1908 includes the first instalments for two battleships and cruisers, all of the largest type. By 1908 five battleships of the Deutschland class will be completed and ready for sea. At present only the Deutschland and Pommerin are in commission and the Hanover will be ready by the Autumn. It is hoped that the first full division of battleships of 18,000 tons «r upwards will be afloat by 1910.
