SOME POISONOUS CONCOCTIONS.

The report on patent medicines makes some startling statements regarding some soothing syrups and foods used for infants. It says that certainly our graveyards are paved with the bodies of poisoned infants. The first and chief legislative remedy the report recommends is to place infants under the same statute as pigs,* lambs, and calves now enjoy — that is, to make the sale of improper food a punishable offence.
