"DEARE, THE SHOEMAN."
Although 'Mr R. J. When Mr Deare first opened here, his premises were not by any means large, but such great strides. hare been made that it was felt desirable to\ move to more commodious premises. Hence the change. . ■ <
The new premises are in Devon, Street (centpal>, opposite Mr Newton King's i mart, and one's attention cannot help ! being attracted by the effective manner in which the many varieties of boots and shoes are displayed in a large and well-appointed window. The entrance door 3 are in a recess, and open out into the main shop', which is capable, as wo ] have already pointed out, of carrying a big <stock. To give some idea of its I capacity it may be mentioned that there are now on hand 150- varieties of men's and 250 varieties of Jadies' bodts arid f shoes. Situate betwoeri I ' the; main shop and the ladies' show-room. is the office for the mail order business. This department is becoming very extensive, the country orders having largely in.preased; pf- lajte^, s ladies' show-room is comfortably arranged. Adjoining it is a stock-room , whilst at the rear of the premises is a large, well-lighted work-room with accommodation for six men. The premises throughout are fitted up; on most modern lines, and the " management will now be - enabled to cope with the business under much more favourable circumstances than . heretofore. ' ' •
