Poultry — We had another large entry of poultry last Saturday, which sold well at the below rates : —

Fruit — Apples are coming forward in fair quantities, and as the demand is limited, prices are a little easy."

We quote: — Poultry: Hens Is 6d to Is lid, pullets Is 4d to 2s Bd, roosters Is 6d to 3s, cockerels Is to Is 9d, white Leghorn cockerels 3s Id to 4s 9d, ducks Is 6d to Is lOd. Fruit: Apples 8s to 8s 6d, bananas 7s 6d to Bs, lemons 4s.

A big clearance was made of furniture and sundries, prices being rather in favour of buyers. We would remind buyers of the clearing sale on account of Mr J. Tippins on the 25th inst. ; and also, on July 24th, of the whole of the stock-in-trade of the Old Cariosity Shop.
