MESSRS YOUNG. HOBBS, & CO.'S REPORT.

Messrs Young, Hobbs, and Co. report — On behalf of Mr E. G. Ross, of Lower Mangawhero, on Saturday, July 13th, we held a successful clearing sale of cows and furniture. Early calvers sold well, but anything late and empty in appearance only realised store .prices. Early calvers made £6 to £9, September and October calvers £3 to £5 los, empty £1 12s 6d to £2 10s, half-draught filly rising two years £10 7s 6d. Sundries sold at satisfactory prices.

On Monday, loth inst., we held a successful clearing sale at Ratapiko, on the Tariki Road. The cows were a good looking lot, but poor in condition, while a number were backward calvers. Early calvers made £5 to £6 12s 6d, medium to backward £2 15s to £4 15s, yearling half-draught colt £9 2s 6d, foiil £4 7s 6d, hack £10. Sundries sold in favour of purchasers.
