ENGINEER'S REPORT.
Mr Kendall, engineer and inspector, reported on the earthwork on Cutfield Road and the powerhouse and power main contracts. The latter work was being delayed 'through the utter impassability of the Albert Road hindering the carting of pipes. As instructed by the Mayor, he had approximately estimated the cost of the ferro-concrete bridge over the Huatbki on the proposed Molesworth Street extension, and he thought, £500 would cover the expenditure. It depended almost entirely on the nature of the foundations.
