MINISTERIAL.
(Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, March 24. The Hon. W. Hall-Jones, Acting-Pre-mier,^ left Christchurch by the 8.10 a.m. train, with a view to inspecting the proposed loop line of railway between Darfield and Norwood, via Greendale. He was accompanied by Messrs. C' Lewis, M.H.R., G. Witty, M.H.R., arid 0. A. C. Hardy, M.H.R. On the way the Minister inspected the proposed goods station and loading bank at Sandy Knolls and the Kirwee station building, which is sadly out of date. He promised to look into both matters, and see if the requests of the settlers could be given, effect to. WELLINGTON, March 24. The Acting-Premier (Hon. W. HallJones) returned from Christchurch today. The Attorney-General (Hon. D'r~ Findlay) arrived from New Plymouth last evening. The Minister for Lands (Hon. R. McNab) will leave fof the South on Monday r and b.e absent from Wellington until after tie Easter holidays.
