DAIRY INSTRUCTION FOR GIRLS.

(Per Press Association.)

. , DUNEDIN; March 21. At a meeting of the Education Board a letter was read from the headmaster of the Mosgiel school, suggesting that dairy instruction to girls should form part of the course in connection with tlje technical instruction. The writer said he would undertake to qualify himself to teach dairying in six months. The chairman of the Board (Mr T. Mac T Jvenzie, M.H.R.),, said he doubted very much whether even a farmer's daughter would be induced to go to such a class, as factories were to a great extent superseding, the old fashion. He thought, however, thai* more attention might be given to the matter or domestic cooking. Tho Board did not accede to the proposal.
