(Per Press Association.) NELSON, March 20v At the Supreme Court this afternopn, Wm. Beltany, junr., was found guilty of appropriating to his own use the sitm of £270 belonging to the estate of "SV. Wilkie, deceased, and was sentenced to two years' imprisonment;. ' ; : * • NAPIER, March 20. I' At the Supreme Cotfrir to-day, a native named Parotone. 4vas sentenced to twelve months' imprisonment for carnally knowing a Maori girl under the^ age of sixteen years. A verdict of not ' guilty was returned in the case against Michael Smith, charged with indecent assault on a female of the age^of five years. A Maori named Mauru Kutukuru pleaded guilty to a charge j^of forgery, and was admitted to probation for thre"e years/
