The Montenegrin Parliament unanimously reduced their allowances from £500 to £250, as being more in accord with the Principality's resources. [The Skutsehtina consists of sixty members, so that the saving will be £15,000 a year. The revenue of the country is only about £124,000, so that the self-sacrifice of members is appreciable.]
