United Press Association — By Electric Telegraph.— Copyright. CAPETOWN, March 14. The death sentences on Potgeiter a nd Retief for participating in the Ferreira raid, have bcon commuted to fifteen years' imprisonment, and on the two Ferreilras and Joosms to imprisonment for life. !

[The raid led by Ferreira was quickly (suppressed. Those responsible for it say they .wore induced to act by German officers, but this the latter have denied.]
