The butter market is steady, and there is a better demand. ; A large sui>ply of Australian mate is pushed for sales, which a/ffecU the market very seriously. Choice New Zealand is q-uoiod at 107s r Argentine 106s, Australian MOs, and .Danish HBs per cwt. There is po o rcr 'demand for saltless butter at 3s per cwt less th 8 n these quotations. vancing- The average price of New Zealand is 63s per cwt. The hemp market is steady an/d business prospects arc good. Good fair grade on spot £39 per ton and fair current Manila £4*2 10s. per ton. The cocksfoot seed market is qHiiet, but firm. Clean, bright dressed 171bs seed is at 48s per cwt. Current quotations for Bradford tops are : Thirty-sixes low 1 orossbreds Is 4fd per lb, forties low crossbreds Is- 6d, medium crossbreds Is tfd, fifties halfbred Is 10d!, fifty-sixes qu-ar-terbred 2s Id, sixties merinote 2s 3£d. The wool market is strong.
