The Star's account of tho Cambridge tragedy , states there is but little hope of Connolly recovering. He was courting a young*, lady whose parents objected to the match, and the girl broke off . the engagement. Connolly met the girl and said he could not live without her. She remained obtd'urate, and they parted, Connolly immediately shooting himself. The bullet, passing over the heart and through a lung, lodged in the back. The young; lady assisted Connolly to a neighbour's place.
