BAD WEATHER.

Per Press Association. Napier, May 22. The continuous downpour of rain which has fallen since last night gives every indication of a flood if it does not soon cease. Reports from several country districts show that the rivers arc rising- fast. In town five inches of rain had fallen between Wednesday and nine o'clock, this morning, and it is estimated that by nine a.m. tomorrow another two inches will have to be added to this total-

In the Wfo'arcomaraenui Reserve the river is winning about two feet aboive the level of the road adjoining.
