Inglis, charged with andj entering- Robert McLaren, alias Johnston, was found guilty of theft from a "dwelling, sentence being deferred. Harry Hart, alias Harris, was 'charged with forgery, thoca«enot being concluded. Accused gave rambling evidence on his own behalf, and called witnesses whose evidence iiad practically no btearing on the case. Ho then addressed the jury at great length in a rambling manner, and as ho kept repeating (himself, Mx Justice Williams eventually stopped him fropil trifling with the court. The jury, on U'o'mg consulted, were of tho same opi* nion, and accused, after being warned that he was prejudicing his case, Avas twice allowed to proceed with 'his faddross, but as he kept repeating tho same thing over again, and ipro testing* hi^ innocence, the Court adjourned.
