| povcnvl a plot to assassinate Clonoral * Maksiniovitch, tho iGovemor-Gencral. 1 Since then ho has been frequently with bombs owing to tlie suipprossion of tho May Bay demonstrations and to tho shooting of iho police. In consequence ho has been specially protected. A few minutes before he and other oflicials were leaving Warsaw Castle yesterday to attend tho Cathedral service in honour of the Cfear's birthday, a Polish Revolutionary Socialistic shoemaker named Dobrowtolski, seated outside a cafe near the Cathedral, looked nervously towards tho Castlo. His d<\moa l nour exciting suspicion, two detectiives approached in opposite directions, and .each seized him 'by the hands, causing a bomb to drop out o^ Dobrowolski's pocket. It exploded. Dobrowolski and a detective were killed. Twenty-one others were injured, including three lady students and two schoolboys, three of them seriously. Many arrests have been made.
