WILLIAMS— COCK.

A popular wedding was celebrated cit St. Mary's Church, Now Plymouth, en Monday morning at 11.30, when I\lr Ah«x. M. Williams, dentist of tl.is town, third son of Mr T. 13. Williams of Wanganui. was married to Miss Claries Cock, only daughter of Mr and Mrs Richard Cock, old residents of New Plymouth.; The church was crowded. Roy. F. G. Evans officiated at the ceremony. Mr Cock gave his daughter away. She wore an elegant dross of white mouseline de soie. the skirt trimmed with frills which were covtred with ruching and finished with chiffon roses. The body had a birth of point lace, with a gathered chiffon yoke and sleeves, and in addition the bride wore me orthodox veil and wreath and qarried a white prayer book. She was attended by the bridesmaids, Miss Vera Snowball (chief)' and [the Misses Verna and Olive Williiims. 'The first named, a cousin of the bride, was attired in white silk, the dress [being insertion with lace, and wore a langerme belt together wiihh a drawn silk hat trimmed with tangerine rosettes, and carried a bouquet of iangerine shaded autumn leaves and chrysanthemums. The other two bridesmaids wore prettily dressed in white silk, insertioned with lace, and relieved with tangerine- sashes, and wore white silk hats with chiffon trimming and ostrich tips, also carrying baskets of tangerine shaded flowers. Mr Eric Bayley acled asr best man, and Messrs I>an. Williams and Arthur Collins (of Wanganui) as groomsmen.

The wedding was most piceun*sque, a pretty effect being produced by the handsome drosses and the harmonious blending of the llowers, etc.

Mrs Cock, mother of Ihe bride, woro a lovely dress of black mervelcaux trimmed with black silk passementerei and a handsome brown feather stele, as well as toque of gathered white chiffon trimmed with tangerine. Amongst* the guest* were 'Mrs Bert Cock (We fling ton), wlio wore a dress of black voile, insertioned with black maltese lace and white fur, with a white hat trimmed with, black and white fur ; Mrs G. Neal, black aceordeon pleated skirfc, black sik blouse with silk yoke, land, a- white felt hat trimmed with roses and white feather stole ; Mrs McFarland (sister of bridegroom), dove-coloured dress trimmed with laco, and a black hat'; Mrs TTcaley, blaclc accordeon pleated skirt, scarlet blouse, and black lace 3'oke, wilh picture hat trimmed with, black feathers and wcarlet roses V, Mrs Nloonan, long black silk coat and black bonnet.; Mrs Walter Williams, cream voile over while silk, trimmed with, chiffon, silk straw hat trimmed with chiffon roses ; Mrs Curtis, green tailor made costume with black hat and ostrich feathers, Miss Curtis, cream serge trimmed with cream velvet and crimson hat.

The present of the bridegroom to the bride was a handsome gold flexible bracelet set with turquoise and pearls, and to the bridesmaids a sapphire and pearl pendant to the chief, and gold heart pendants to the others. The bride gave the bridegroom a signet ring.

After the ceremony a large number of guests were entertained at a wedding brealifas't at Mr Cock's residence, when toasts were proposed awl felicitous speeches made.

A reception was held in the afternoon and the guests were numerous. The house was excellently] decorated and the large number of magnificent and serviceable wedding giffo were laid out for inspection.

Mr and Mrs Williams left for Wanganui by the afternoon train. Mrs G. Neal carried out Ihe table decorations and mado the liouquels, etc.
