A NEW COMMANDER.
United Press Association. — By Electric Telegraph.— Copyright. London, June 22. General Sir C. Egerton has been appointed to the supreme command of the Somaliland expedition.
Tho new commander has been in command of the Punjab Frontier Forccj since ]S'.)9. He has seen a lot ol active service, including the Afghan War (J 879-80), Hazara Expedition ( ISyS ), Mirair/ai "Expedition, ' Waziristan Field Force (1894-5). ancl Dongola Expedition (1597-98).
