THE HAWERA, ENCAMP SIENT,.; The Easter ■„" Encampment o£ j the Taranaki Battalion, which comiqenced on Thursday night ./last, at the "Lakes," HSwera, proved very disappointing so far as the attendance was , concerned./ To the Taranald Gaarda fell the credit v of the largest muster, the Taranaki Rifles and Eltham Rifles following.- • iiiglewood and Stratfpidr sent a few "men^ but ihe*. fcqme (Hawera)-'. corps: « was - lamentably. spicuous by the decimated, condition! of its ranks, while' Patea -and .Waitara were quite unrepresented. , v ■ However those who did attend will no doubt long, retain ple&sant memories of the camp.
