Business continues brisk. The po j tato market is well supplied. Cheese is very firm. ** Eggs and butter are unchanged.

Quotations are as follows : — Fresh 6utter, (factory la Id, separator 9d, farmers' Bd, seconds /7d, salt butter Bd, seconds .7d, cheese, local 3§d to 4i per lb i factory, 4£d to sid ; eggs, la 6d doz; hams (in cloth) 6id to 8d; bacon (in cloth), 6to 7d ; roller flour £11 5s ;i maize 3s> 6d to 3s 7d, (ex wharf); oats, feed. 2a lOd to 3s (ex wharf ; wheat 3s 8d to 3s lid; fowl wheat 3s lOd; oatmeal (2-s 's), £15 10s; potatoes 4s 6d to 5* 3d per cwt.

Grain, Fodder, &c. — Messrs Buckland & Sons' report : Oats further advanced to 3s Id! ex wharf, and 3s 4d ex store ; maize 3s 6d ex wharf to 3s lOd ex store ; fowl wheat 4s Id, chaff £5 ex rail to £5 10s ex store, straw chaff £4, tran £6, potatoes, local £4 10s to £5.
