TARANAKI V. HAWKE'S BAY.

The second meeting between representatives of Taranaki and Hawke's Bay — the first meeting having taken place some eight years since at Napier, when Taranaki won — took 'place on Tuesday afternoon, when th teams met in the Recreation Grounds before a large crowd of spectators. The day was beautifully tine, clear, dry, and with just a gentle breeze — typical football weather. Mr G. Syme refereed the match.
