SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY. [KKOM A COBnESHONDENT.J The Sunday School in connection with St Luke's (C.E.) held a very successful anniversary services on the 31st Varch in the Public Hall at Bell Block. At 3 p.m. the Rev Dean Evans gave an interesting address on -'Sunday Schools, their object and work." At 7 p.m. Rev F. A. Bennett gave an impressive address to a largo congregation on the words ''The child gathers the stick?, the father lights the fire, tho mother makes tho dough." The Sunday School Superinten 'ent gave a satisfactory report of the year's work. Mr Cook, as representing St Marys Vestry, spoke ehocring words to tbo workers. There was a large choir, and the combined singing from scholars and choir <vas really good. Miss Cornwall manipulated the harmonium with her ÜBual ability. Your correspondent noticed what seemed to bo a now but certainly appropriate departure in having the collection taken up by two of the senior scholars.
