Recieved March 15, 10.55 p.m. London, March 15.— Repeated attempts of small commandos to break north through the British lines between Bloemfontein and Thabanchu were repulsed with loss. Commandant Kruitzinger forced a passage at Leeuwdrift, foiling Colonel De Lisle's plan to jamb the Boers in a fork of the Great Fish and Koonap rivers. Commandant De Jager, a noted Natal rebel, has been sentenced to five years' imprisonment and a fine of LS6C for treason and looting. Two of De Wet's chief scouts were captured, also 1000 cattle and horses. Received March IE, 12.29 a.m. London, March 15. — The Boers shot two British prisoners at Wolraoranstad, ako three burghew for refusing to fight. Commandant De la Rey ordered the execution as a revenge for the defeat at at Hartebeestefontein. Lord Methuen captured Commandant Peerson, who is largely responsible for the tragedy. The New York Sun has apologised for the garbled accounts published by itsomo time ago of letters written by Lieutenant Morrison, of the Canadian Contingent, describing the British atrocities in South Africa. The Sun has dismissed the author of the garbled accounts, who is its Ottawa correspondent. • --
