Normanby Horticultural Show.

« TriK above show, which was held on Friday, was a great success. The committee were fortunate in having a fine day, and the attendance was large, visitors from all over Taranaki beiny present. The entries were the largest on record, and everyone agreed the show was the most successful cv r held in Normanby. The nurserymen's exhibits were all good. Weightman, of Feilding, had a fino collection of cactus dahlias and fruit ; Horton, Pahiatua. very choice apples; Laird & Son, Wanganui, cut blooms and cactus dahlias; Benefield, Wanganui, a big show of apples ; and J. Walker (Auckland) and Mrs Mitchinson (New Plymouth), a large show of pot plants. Special mention should be made of the exhibit from the Government Experimental Farm at Momahaki, their show of roots and tomatoes being 11 very fineone. In torn itoes there were over 30 different varieties. In poultry, the farm again camp, to the front, the birds being in splendid condition, the large Peking and Aylesbury duck 3 being much admired. The success of the show was largely due to Mr Thos. Lloyd, secretary, who was most energetic in attending to his duties, and also to his excellent staff. During the afternoon Mr Higham's String Band plaj'ed numerous selections.
