TARIKI.

[FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) The annual picnic in connection with St. Phillip's Church was held on Thursday afternoon, amidst enjoyable weather. The attendance was fairly good, and both young and old seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves with the various games provided. A splendid afternoon tea was supplied, and was heartily partaken of.

A concert was held in the evening, and was a decided success. The hall was well filled by an audience who seemed to appreciate the following programme very much : — Pianoforte solo, Miss McDonald; song, Mr Sutherland; song, Miss Crozier; recitation, Mr Nicholls; song, Mrs Corney; violin solo, Mr Muirhead; duet, Misses Crozier and Colson; song, Mr Hancock; song, Miss E. Crozier; song, Mr McDonald; recitation, Mr Nicholls; song. Mr Hamblyn; Bong, Mr J. Sutherland; violin solo, Mr Muirhead.

A very enjoyable dance followed, and I think on the whole the committee would net a good profit.
