Quotations are as "follows : — Fresh butter: Firsts, Sd per lb; prime salt butter, 8d; ' seconds, 6d; cheese, local, 4d to 5d per lb; factory, sdto 6jd; eggs, 7d doz ; hams (in cloth), 8d to 9d ; bacon (in cloth), 5d to 6d ; roller flour, £7 10s ; maize, 2s 4d to 2s ssd (ex wharf); oats, feed, 2s to 2s 2d; wheat, 2s 6d to 2s lOd; fowl wheat, 2s 6d ; oatmeal (25'), £10 ; potatoes, 4s to 6s cwt. Wool, Hides, Skins, Ac. — Messrs 6. W. Binney and Bocklands' reports have not reached us this week. Horse Stock, &c. — Messrs Buckland & Sons' report : — Horses : At the Haymarket on Friday last there was an unsatisfied demand, which still exists for young horses of a useful class. The draught stallion Scotland Laddie, by Boyal Conqueror, sold at 40 guineas ; active heavy spring cart horse, £32 10s; pair waggon or plough horses, £19 each; light and staunch young horses, £15 to £20 each; aged useful and light harness sorts, £5 to £8; unbroken horses suitable j for 'bus or tram, £8 to £13; well-bred hacks, £12 to £16 each. .\Cattlb, Shkp,&c.-— Messrs A. Buckland & Sons report that at Bemuefa on Thursday cows at profit better worth from L 5 to L 7 each, no store cattle yarded, fat and young calves in full supply sold freely, a good muster of fat cattle #>f good quality were a shade lower in value, steers and heifers from LI to LI 3s per 1001 b; agid, 16a to 18s; steers were from L 6 10s to LlO 6s each; cows, L4to L 8 ss, 260 sold: fat sheep' folly maintained last week's values, wethers, 14s to 17s each; ewes 9s to 14s 3d; lambs, 8s to 16s 6d; for> well fatted lighter weights 6s 6d to 7s W; price* for
