DISCUSSION AT THE HARBOUR l '- BOARD. , !
At the Harbour Board meeting on Friday afternoon, Mr Sarten, pursuant to notice given, moved, That the resolutions, passed on September 19th, 1898, '17th August, 1900, and 21st September, 1900,; dealing with. Monnt Eliot Reserve sec-, iions be rescinded, and that the application of Messrs Richmond and Belfnnger be acceded, to. • , .- In reply to Mr Hignett, the Chairman said the application was for the three; sections, and was deferred until the earth is cleared from the reserve. Mr said in that case he would objejoi to three valuable sections being di«)osed of in such a manner. , v i/tr Sarten-: That is hot my intention. Mr Hignett : That is what your Insolation . suggests^ .. and all I can say , is that it is most irregular., . . ■ , ' Mr Connett stated that he wonl^ also opposd the resolution.
