A SANITARY MATTER. TO THK BD1TO&
Sik, — On reading your report of the Borough Council meeting on the 14th inst. T observe the Health Committee brought forward a proposition "That the boundaries of the compulsory area of night soil c mtract be enlarged ' Now as a ratepayer f urgently advise our ' Ciiy Fathers before they extend th.9 boundary to see that this law is carried out properly in the present area by the Inspector of Nuisances, and that he does not nhut his eyes to breaches of this de* enption. From ray own knowledge I know of several instances in Gill street, where this matter of night soil has not been removed off the premises through tbe neglect of the Inspector, the result being that the effluvia arising from the emptying process of closets is somewhat unpleasant to the nostrils of passers-by, to say nothing of tbe danger of sickness occurring this hot weather. — I am, &c, Ratepayrr.
