NOLAN, TONKS, & CO.'S STOCK REPORT.

Messrs Nolan, Tonks, and Co. report : There was a good attendance at the Hawera yards on Thursday, and a large number of stock of a good class came forward. Bidding was, however, not so spirited as at recent sales, though nearly all the cattle were cleared at the hammer or after tht sale.

Cattle: Yearlings, mixed 40s to 445, yearling steers 46s to 60s, 2yr steers 70s to 755, 2fyr to 3yr steers 925, 3yr steers 105s, forward steers 115s, fat cows 85s to 100s, empty heifers 52s to 58s, forward cows 75s to 80s, Btore cows 67s 6d to 70s, springers 90s to 100s, cows and calves, 80s, extra goods 109s.

Sheep: Hoggets (small) 9s 3d, crossbred wethers 11s 9d, wethera (forward and good) 15s 3d, forward ewes 10s 6d.
