Recc-ived August 30. 10 a.m. London, August 29. — The quantity .of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is estimated at 2,340,000 quarters, and for the Continent 1.080,000 quarters. A shipment of South Australian wheat sold at 30s 9d; a Tasmanian cargo for 30s 3d; and another Australian cargo realised 31s. Tin.— Spot, £136; three months, £133. Shares and debentures: — Bank of Australasia, £77 ; Bank of New Sonth Wales, £43 ; Union Bank, £37 10s: \ National Bank of New Zealand, £3; Bank of New Zealand 4 per cent, guaranteed stock, 101; N.Z. Loan & Mercantile Agency Company's 4 per cents., prior lien stock, 91. At tho tallow auctions, 1800 casks were offered and 450 sold. Mutton, fine, 27s 3d ; medium, 26s ; beef, fine, 26s 6d; medium, 25s 6d.
