fpJSR TRESS ASSOCIATION!] Wellington, September 8. — Patrick O'Meara, who met with an accident at the drainage works owing to a fall of earth on Monday, succumbed this morning. Deceased was only 31 years of age, and leaves a young wife. This afternoon a child, three years of age, Kathleen O'Hallornn) daughter Of a Corporation employee, was drowned in the harbour. She wont out to play between 12 and 1 o'clock with an elder member of the family, and when paddling in the watar was waahed off her f set by a wave and drowned before help could reach her.

Christchuroii, September B . —A child, three years old, named Bertha Summerton, died somewhat suddenly this morning. She bad suffered from influenza some weeks ago, but wa3 apparently well yesterday. Her mother states that she swallowed a pin soma time ago.
