BLIGHT ON CABBAGE TREES.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—The cabbage trees lately planted m the Recreation Groundß are suffering from an alarming blight in the shape of myrjads of small caterpillars of a pale green color, and of a rather flattish shape, which are destroying the inner part, tnd must, if unchecked, ultimately destroy tha whole tree. The Board have given orders for spraying the trees with hellebore. I noticed to-day that the trees in my private garden are also affected, but these are too largo to spray. If any of your readers can suggest any effectual ramedy, the Recreation Grounds Board and the writer will feel greatly obb'ged.—l am, &c, . Clement W. Govett.
