Definition of a Hack. — A horse that has never won an advertised race exceeding the value of 40 soys at time of start, and is not nominated at time of entry for a Derby, Guineas, St. Leger, or Sapling Stakes (Hack, Hunter, and Pony races excepted). Horses that have won aH advertised race of the value of £25, after the declaration of weights, to carry a penalty of 51bs; if of the value of £40, and over, to carry a penalty of 71bs; penalties not cumulative. The Committee reserve to themselves the right to alter the date, of meeting, entry, acceptance, appearing of weights, and order and time of events should the; see fit to do so. All races will be run under the Rules of Racing adopted by the Metropolitan Racing Ciuba of New Zealand. DATES OF NOMINATIONS AND ACCEPTANCES.
