Y.R.C. NATIONAL MEETING.
At the opening day of tho Y.R.O. Winter Meeting at Flemington on Saturday the weather was fine, and there wa3 a large attendance. The principal event (Grand National Hurdles) resnlted as follows :— Emmelia (Brewer), 1 ; Woonoke (Tye), 2 ; Muscovite (Fergusson), 3. Rosestoin, Bill,- and Question were scratched. Betting — 4 to 1 against Rip pie, 6 to 1 Emmelia, 10 to 1 Muscovite. A Capital start was effected, and along by the river, Gratiano was in front but then Kangaroo 11. took up the running, and led up to passing the stand the second time, when he gave way to Bischoff, who led from Ripple and Kangaroo 11. , Much the same"-6rdei" was >J maintained 1 to the river, when Provost rushed through and displaced < Bisclioa ! ',"-but'onlymomentarily, as the latter soon again assumed command. Entering the straight, Emmelia was haildy, 1 and at the half -distance", "having everything beaten, came away, and won easily by two lengths and a half. BiscLoff was fourth. Time, 3min 35J see. ._ _
